Community Service

We have a very active and productive community service side to our guild opportunities. The members of the committee and our membership support many different types of organizations. Some of the projects and the recipients will be shown on this page or an attachment. Click on links to reach more information!!!

We have had wonderful support from our membership in supplying The Painted Turtle Camp with several requested items - turtle pillows and small quilts to return home with the campers as a reminder of their week of summer fun, take home quilts for siblings on the family weekeds, the many single bed quilts that are washed each week to get ready for the newest group of campers to visit and quilts that adorn the walls and cover equipment throughout the location. Several of the items we delivered in 2014 can be viewed here.

One of our other efforts was to create bags that would be used to raise money to fund breast cancer research through the Helping Hands, Helping Hearts organization. Their website can be found on our links page. The bags were quick and easy to make. Check the bags out right here. This group helps cancer patients with the things that insurance doesn't cover.
